Car of the Week: Ford Maverick

Hello again People!

If this wouldnt be in the section 'Car of the Week', this Post could probably be named 'Not everything golden is real Gold' (or at least anything like that!).
I like Oldtimers, Youngtimers too, and so here's our this weeks car - the Ford Maverick.

The Ford Motor Company built their Mavericks from April 1969 till 1977 in the US, Canada and Mexico and between 1973 and 1979 in Brazil. The initial price was 1,995 US$ - what a price in today's time!!
The Maverick should be placed in the gap after they stoppped producing the Ford Falcon, and also should play in the same league of 'Muscle Cars' as the Mustang does. As you know, the Mustang was  and still is THE muscle car and some dont actually know about the existance of the Maverick. (Fortunately its me to present you all the 'lost' cars of the past 100 years! :D)
As the most other Muscle Cars, too, it had a loong hood and a fastback roof with an shot deck and a wheelbase from about 2,6 meters.
And, not to forget, they had 210 hp (160 kW) - wroom! :)

In 1969 they produced nerly 579,000 Mavericks - but where are they today? I looked for some at a German Car-selling-site - found none!! What a pitty, I really like the Maverick! :(
What I really like too, the names ot the exterior paints were like: Anti-Establish Mint, Hulla Blue or also Dresden Blue, Raven Black, Candyapple Red or Wimbledon White.
In 1971 they introduced the four-door model and also there was a vinyl roof available.

Now some pictures . . (unfortunately not Candyapple red)
