The Ferrari F430 is a sports car assembled in Maranello, Italy, from 2004 - 2009, by Ferrari. It followed the Ferrari 360 and it's successor is the Ferrari 458 Italia. It debuted at the Paris Motor Show in 2004.
It has a 4.3L V8 petrol engine with 483 HP and needs 4.0 seconds for the sprint 0-100 km/h (62 mph).
There are a few variants available, these are:
* F430 Spider: a convertible version based on the coupé, which had its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. Expect of the roof almost everything, like the interior, is identical.
*F430 Challenge: the racing version which can reach a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph).
*F430 GT2: Was built to replace the 360 GTC and competited in the American Le Mans Series, FIA GT and also at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
*F430 GT3: Based on the F430 Challenge, specialized for the FIA GT3 European Championship, also used at the British GT and FFSA GT. It has a 4.3L V8 engine with 550 HP and a weight of 1,219 kg.
*430 Scuderia (like my model car): was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007, aimed to compete with the Porsche RS-models and the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. It is more powerful and lighter, with 505 HP and a weight of minus 100 kg, than the standard F430. Ferrari claims that this version is faster than the Ferrari ENzo, on their own Fiorano Circuit test trac, with a top speed of 319 km/h (198 mph) and 3.6 seconds from 0-100 km/h (62 hp).
*430 Scuderia Spider 16M:To commemorate Ferrari's 16th victory in the Formula 1 Constructor's World Championship 2008, Ferrari unveiled the Scuderia Spider 16M. It accellerates almost as fast as the "normal" Scuderia and has 5 hp less. 499 vehicles are to be released.
*F430 Spider Bio Fuel: Displayed at the Detroit Motor Show in 2008 this version runs on ethanol. But it still has a 4.3L engine with 500 HP, but it produces 5% less carbon dioxide emission than the standard Spider version.
