This is not a mission for the weak of heart and it has one name: Torpedo Run. This exclusive
event is a real extraordinary automobile party, which impresses by pure driving pleasure,
breathtaking action-events, gourmet pleasures, luxury hotels and glamour. This year, the
Torpedo Run takes place from 23 to 25 September 2011. New challenges and exciting
events are going to await the Torpedo Runners at all times to give them a memorable time.
All adds up to a weekend of a lifetime!
In total there are three days loaded with fun and action: this year’s route offers an extreme
variety and new experiences every day. Liechtenstein - Kitzbühel (Austria) - Lake Wörth
(Austria) - Portorož (Slovenia) are the 2011 destinations of the extraordinary road trip.
Torpedo Run is not a race. So the organizers have the official go of the government and
administrative authority.
The grid in the past included cars like Mini Cooper S, Ferrari F430, Corvette ZR1, Hummer
H2, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Porsche Carrera GT and even the rare PPI Audi R8
Razor GTR - even more striking when a Lamborghini Murciélago was converted by Edo
Competition to a stealth bomber. Exotics and wacky cars, e. g. a Rolls-Royce stickered up
like a US police car, have shown real passion for the Torpedo Run so far.
There is only one goal: driving, action and having fun! One of the highlights of the Torpedo
Run 2011: the Torpedo Runners will experience the new Red-Bull-Ring, formerly known as
Austria Ring or A1 Ring. Red Bull rebuilt this race track completely and received the Formula
1 licence, which means that the Red Bull Ring exceeds even the highest standards of the
Formula 1.
The Torpedo Runners will have a phenomenal adrenaline rush at the events, where fun
and suspense are combined to a unique adventure. Traditionally the exact locations of the
events are announced at the start of the Torpedo Run to keep the suspense. In the past the
Torpedo Runners drove for example with a jet boat over white water or had fun on an ATV
offroad trip high in the mountains. Are you curious for the Torpedo Run 2011?
The Alps await the drivers with real challenges, e. g. tight serpentines with precipices lurking
behind of them. The Torpedo Runners will get to know astonishing alpine passes away from
the flow of tourists - insider’s roads which wind through the hills in a spectacular way.
Torpedo Run is NOT a race. It does not matter if the participants enter the event with a hot-
blooded sportscar, a posh limousine or a classic car. Envy? There is none! All that matters is
that gasoline is running through the venes and the drivers bring the joy of life to experience
a new way of luxury lifestyle. A Torpedo Runner would say: “It’s another insane weekend in
paradise!“
