BMW Concept Active Tourer at the Paris Motor Show 2012 |
At the annual Paris Motor Show BMW presented their new "Active Tourer", a Concept Car with a plug-in hybrid that combines Functionality, Dynamic and (Life)Style and gives a first Impression of the future combination of Design and Ecology.
Running in the same segment as the Mercedes-Benz B-Class the Concept has a higher seating position, flexible expandable luggage storage and, especially to mention, iPads as an Infotainment System in the rear.
A 3-cylinder petrol engine produces together with an electric synchronous engine about 140 kW / 190 HP and accelerates from 0 - 100 in 8 seconds. BMW estimates an total fuel consumption of just 2,5 l per 100 km and 60 grams of CO2.
Except the typical kidney grill, is it still a Bimmer? Let's stay tuned for this Concept to turn into a "real Car". . .
