According to the german "Auto Bild" magazine Audi will present a Hybrid version of their A3 Sportback at the Geneva Motor Show at the beginning of March. As the first german manufacturer, after Opel, Audi will bring a Car with a Plug-In Hybrid in on the market.

Pretty similat to the Opel Ampera the e-tron Sportback will be able to drive up to 50 km fully electrical. The A3 will be powered through a 2,0 l Turbo-Petrol engine with 210 PS in combination with a 27 PS E-Engine. The combinated fuel consumption should be around 2l per 100km.

Half a year later, Volkswagens Hybrid Golf VI will celebrate its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2013.

Official prices aren't announced yet, but Auto Bild-Insider think they will start at around 35.000 €. 8.000€ more than a regular A3 Sportback.
