Interview with a Tesla Model S Owner - as an Answer to NYTimes

Hey Guys

Nowadays, thanks to Social Media Channels like Facebook and Twitter it was never easier to make Companys know about your Complaints, and even start a "Shit Storm".
Most of the Time the accused Companys have apologized and admitted their mistake.
But this is not just working for Customers and Companies, also for Company Owners and Newspapers. Like it happened yesterday - Elon Musk and the New York Times.

Tesla (and PayPal, SpaceX and Solarworld) Founder Elon Musk must have been shocked after reading what the dear Journalist JOHN M. BRODER wrote on February 8th about his Test Drive with a Tesla Model S. (Read the NY Times Article here.)

”NYTimes article about Tesla range in cold is fake,” Elon Tweeted.

Then I’ve discovered Tom, Tom Leykis (American talk radio personality best known for hosting The Tom Leykis Show from 1994 to 2009 (nationally syndicated), and April 2012 to the present (internet streamcast/podcast)), a Tesla Model S Owner, via Twitter, commenting on Elon Musk Announcement to Blog about how the NYTimes Test Drive really happened. He said he drives the Model S on a Daily Basis. I think his Opinion counts a thousand times more, read what he says!

1.What are your recent experiences with it? All Positive or also a few negative?
Mostly exteremly positive. I have had to take the car in to be looked at for issues such as the doors locking me out or for firmware upgrades, but that is to be expected with new technology. Other negatives are tiny. The car does not have parking sensors as do other cars in its class. The sun visors are so tiny as to be almost ornamental. But these are not major issues. The car does what it promises and every single person I know wants to own it.

2. Since when do you drive “Full Electric”?
Only since driving this car.

3.Is the Model S your first EV? If not, which one did you use to drive before?
My first. I own a Toyota Camry hybrid as well.

4. What do your Friends, Neighbours and Family say about your EV? Do they own EV’s already by themselves?
I know some Toyota Prius hybrid owners. No EV owners. Every single person I know is blown away by my Model S and has expressed an interest in owning one.

5. Was the switch from a Petrol- to Electric-Car difficult? Do you regret anything?
I regret nothing. Also, I have solar panels at one of my homes, so driving now is essentially free.

6. As a Happy Model S Driver, what do you wish to see from Tesla in the future? (Small Cars (1-2 Persons), mid-size sedans, ... )
Cheaper versions so everyone can afford one.

7. Do you think there will be a Year when everyone drives Electric, or will anything different power our Cars engines, in your Opinion?
There will always be options. More EVs will be possible when adequate charging stations are everywhere.

8. What do you personally think about the NY Times Article and their Test?
If Elon Musk says that they lied, I believe it. He says that Tesla has data on what was really done with the car. My personal experience with Elon Musk and Tesla Motors lead me to believe them before I believe The New York Times.

9. If you like to add anything more, feel free to write anything down you want to say!
Now that the Model S is Motor Trend’s Car of the Year, everyone is going to start taking shots at it. People who own them know the truth: that it’s the most amazing car in decades and that it makes our lives better every single day. The engineering and attention to detail is truly incredible.

Thanks a lot for answering my Questions Tom!
