Hey Guys
These totally BREAKING NEWS just reached me: Opel will join the Formula 1 in 2014 (yes, you're reading right!). And guess who the driver will be! It will be Ralf Schumacher! Whoa, unbelievable!
At 8:30 am a few german journalists were invited by Opel to join a very unusual press conference: A Video Conference with 50 People to announce "something special", as they wrote in the invitation.
Okay, sure, nothing better than a Video conference at 8am on a national holiday day, but anyway I've joined it as I was curious about what "special" they have to announce and damn, I'm still so mind blown about the announcement!!!!
The Video Conference was just something about 10 minutes long and at the end Opel Motorsport sent some press material out, via e-mail of course.
Here all the Facts:
The Team is called Irmscher Opel F1 Team.
The core team is "Mücke Motorsport" from Berlin".
The drivers will be Ralf Schumacher (former F1 and DTM driver, brother of Michael Schumacher, german) and Tommy Milner (GM factory racing driver, american).
Their Test Drives with the ADAM F1.4 will start soon.
As this was a special VConference, just for german journalists, read here what the other german Autoblogger wrote about Opel joining the Formula 1 in 2014:
