Aston Martin CC100 Concept at Villa d'Este 2013

Hey Guys

At the Concorso d'Eleganza Aston Martin presented their new Aston Martin CC100 Concept at the grounds of Villa d'Este. The CC100 was created to celebrate and honor the 100th Birthday of the Brand.

One complete year of celebrations, beginning with the unveiling of the CC100 Concept Car at the famous Nordschleife at Germany’s ADAC Zurich 24 Hours of Nürburgring race two weeks ago, and now following with the Concorso d'Eleganza at Lake Como.

The radical speedster - pretty look-alike to the Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss - features a 6.0-litre V12-engine with a six-speed hydraulically actuated automated sequential manual transmission. The Body and interior are made out of carbon fibre. The 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) will be reached after "a little over four seconds" and the limited top speed is at 290 km/h (180 mph).

Aston Martin CEO Dr Ulrich Bez said: "CC100 is the epitome of everything that is great about Aston Martin. It represents our fantastic sporting heritage, our exceptional design capability, our superb engineering know-how and, above all, our adventurous spirit!"

Designed and constructed in fewer than six months at Aston Martin’s global headquarters in Gaydon, working with key supplier Multimatic Inc, under the leadership of Special Projects and Motorsport Director David King, the finished look of the two-seater CC100 is the work of Design Director Marek Reichman working alongside the brand’s Chief Exterior Designer Miles Nurnberger.
