Today the Production of the Skoda Rapid Spaceback started at the Skoda Plant in Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republik. The Rapid Spaceback, which will celebrate it's world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Sptember, is Skoda's first short-tail model. The Spaceback complements the product range between the Fabia and Octavia, and for the first time Skoda offers a compact car that combines the practical - and typical Skoda - qualities with the short-tail shape. The Rapid Spaceback shares the assembly line with the current Skoda Fabia.

The launch of the Rapid Spaceback production is the eighth start of production this year. "Our entire SKODA team, the shopping, the technical development, production, logistics and quality assurance, has once again made a great job and the start of the brand enormously important model reliable, quality and on time guaranteed," says SKODA Production Director Michael Oeljeklaus .
The Skoda Rapid Spaceback will be hit the European Dealers from October 2013.
