Hey Guys

After posting just Pictures, for the second time, of the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever, the Rolls-Royce Wraith, I think it's time to tell you a little bit more about the Car and share with you my Daydreaming-Experience from the Frankfurt Motor Show.

I had my first closer look at the Rolls-Royce Wraith, after its debut at Geneva Motor Show in March, during Concorso d'Eleganza at Lake Como back in May. Right after the entrance there were some Rolls-Royce standing in the middle of green grass next to the Lake - If I'd be rich I would do the same: position a nice Car in my huge Garden, like a Sculpture, and look at it for hours to understand its Design language and soak up its positive energy. Of course I could place it also in my living room, but that's definitely too mainstream for a Car like the Rolls-Royce Wraith.


Just imagine, it's 11 pm and some fog wanders through your huge garden, trees and bushes on the side, a gravelled path leads the way from your house to the entrance gate. It's an iron gate with ornaments and ivy plants on the side. The gravel is beige to fit the beige/light orange color of your house, but through the soft light of the moon everything is converted into 100 shades of grey and black.

Your bedroom clock ticks and ticks and ticks. Every second one tick, 60 times per minute, 60 times an hour. Sleepless you're rolling your sleepy body from one side to another and again to the other side. You're already starting to count the hours that are left until your alarm clock rings and you have to get up to go to work. Wearing a suite every day, being super professional every day, doing the same things and rituals every day. You're starting to think about your Life – is it really the one you always imagined? The Life you worked for so hard?

Discipline is on your daily agenda, being smart is more than an attitude for you, but this life bores you so much. You look out through the window, you see the fog and the Rolls-Royce Wraith standing there. Did it just flash with its headlamps? You stand up to see it closer; your eyes are totally focused on the elegant fastback. Bold lines, the two-tone paint and the recessed grille give Wraith, the “Ghost” a unique character. You can’t believe what your eyes see as you are still torn back and forth between falling finally asleep and going downstairs to play with this toy.

Your inner kid wins, you put on some jacket, jump into some shoes and bounce down the stairs, 24 stairs in total until you stand in the middle of the wet grass, wearing nothing than your pajama and the Rolls-Royce Wraith Lamps flash again. You open the left coach door and a scent of leather and wood welcomes you. Cuddled by the softest Phantom-grade leathers and the Canadel Panelling wood you sit on the driver’s seat. The Starlight Headliner - 1,340 fibre optic lamps are hand-woven into the roof lining - a Bespoke feature which is now finally available beyond the Phantom family, completes your dream-come-true experience with the Fastback.

You can’t hold your fingers and your right foot still, your start the engine, petrol is pumping through the Wraith’s veins to the V12 engine, kissing it softly alive, the 8-speed automatic ZF transmission starts and 563 bhp are now available in seconds under your right foot. You could easily push the Car from 0 to 100 kmh / 0 to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds. Do you want to?

Of course you want!

Emily, the spirit of ecstasy, is leading the way out of your garden, out to the streets. The never-ending streets, streets you didn’t know yet, streets that feel like you’ve driven them a thousand times. You see nothing than the Wraith’s hood and where the headlamps shine. Some Trees on the Side, some bushes and oh, was there just a little deer on the side?

Even though you don’t know where you going you feel safe as the Car exactly knows where you’re going. Thanks to the Satellite Aided Transmission (SAT) technology the GPS tells the Car about the upcoming terrain – curves, motorways, roundabouts – and adjusts the transmission to select the most appropriate gear for the roads ahead.
The sky is slowly getting lighter; a purplish red starts to wake up behind the trees, there, where the road ends in the endless sky. You want to go home, and you say it “take me home, my dear Wraith”. Thanks to the one-touch call button, located on the steering wheel, the navigation easily understood where you want to go next and started to navigate you home until you fall asleep on your fluffy pillow.

Wraith .. the Ghost .. was everything just a dream?

After I checked the money in my trousers pocket I noticed that there are still 244.995,50 € missing to the ownership of a Wraith... Dreaming is sometimes the nicest way to experience a Car and it lets you realize that hard work really pays off, one day.
