Mercedes-Benz will unveil the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG Racing Series Cars at the Frankfurt Motor Show next Week on September 10. With the CLA 45 AMG Mercedes-Benz wants to extend their commitment for customer Motorsport. The Racing Series CLA are intended for international racing series with an strong audience such as the German VLN (Long Distance Championship Nurburgring) or for national brand cups. Depending on each regulations the technical specifications will be different.

Nevertheless the CLA 45 AMG Racing Series Cars will feature a two-liter turbo engine with either a complete all-wheel drive or just permanent front-wheel drive.

The special racing suspension is fitted on front and rear suspension with a wider track and allows numerous settings for individual racing setup. Vehicle height, spring rate and damping characteristics are as adjustable as the toe and camber values ​​at the front and rear axle. The AMG high-performance braking system with ventilated discs is equipped with an antilock braking system.

Through Parts completely made out of carbon fiber (CFRP) it underlines the CLA 45 AMG's race car attributes. These include a new front and rear bumper, fender flares and side skirts. In addition, racing tires provide impressive width . For sure a nice wing can't be missed, so there is a carbon-fiber rear wing on the back.

The interior is dominated by functional racing car atmosphere: a cage made ​​of high strength steel, P 1300 GT racing seats by Recaro which are already prepared for the HANS System (Head and Neck Support) and of course the integrated fire extinguisher system. The racing steering wheel with shift paddles for gear changes allows perfect vehicle control.
